What to include in your event videography brief in Accra

Your video crew can make stronger decisions when the most important moments, locations and final use are clear. This brief is useful for weddings, concerts, church events, corporate programs and campaigns.

Useful for preparing a project in Accra, Ghana or for remote collaboration. This is a planning guide, not a substitute for an agreed production brief or quote.

Identify the story and final audience

Are you commissioning a family film, public campaign recap, internal record or social-media announcement? Share the intended audience and what you want them to feel or do after watching. This affects the shot list, format, editing pace and tone.

Share the timetable and must-have moments

Provide event locations, doors-open time, ceremony or show start, speeches, performances, breaks and key transitions. Mark non-repeatable moments: the vows, a keynote, a prayer, a product reveal or a musical climax. Assign one person who can notify the crew if the schedule changes.

Check sound, lighting and access

Good video depends on sound as much as imagery. Explain if the crew may access a soundboard feed or needs separate microphones. Identify low-light conditions, restricted areas, moving stages and power availability. Confirm permissions and locations ahead of time.

Specify your editing deliverables

A full event film, three-minute highlight, vertical Reel and short teaser require different work. Share approximate runtimes, aspect ratios, subtitle needs, music licensing expectations and desired deadlines. Consider which shots need to be captured vertically rather than simply cropped later.

Discuss consent and publication permissions

If the footage will be public, consider participants, minors, event signage, speakers, copyrighted performance music and client approvals. Clarify who is authorized to request or approve edits and who may publish or reuse the footage.

Agree on handover and storage

Ask about the delivery format, resolution, review workflow, file-sharing method, project archive and any options for receiving source footage. These details should be established before the shoot rather than after the files are edited.
